Rainy Day Dreaming

Rain, rain, go away...come again another day.
Yep, it's a rainin'....hard.
Well, when that happens, I cocoon.
I curl up into a ball and dream of lovely things (like the roses from my summer garden)...which inevitably  inspires me to create.
And, when inspiration to create hits...but I don't have any idea in my head WHAT to create, I head to a number of different inspirational spots.
1. Flickr/Blogs/Etsy
2. Magazines
3. Catalogs
4. Garden (not an option in today's downpour!)
...and last but not least...
5. My Scrap Book!
I have a little treasure of a scrapbook that I found thrifting one day. I have filled it with lots of lovely inspirational ideas from home decor, to clothes and accessories.
Here is a lovely page filled with great ideas...
I also love to peruse my vintage book collection! Aren't these pen and ink owl drawings divine?!
Well, if it's raining for you today, I hope I've inspired you to get out of those doldrums you are finding yourself in, and take the day by the reigns. Find a sunny day in your imagination; create from sunlit memories.
I wish you joy this week, and I'd love to hear from you!
Cheers my dears!

  1. Trish what lovely inspiration! Woke to rain this morning but that's okay...I love it...very cozy and actually makes me want to do something in the house...sometimes clean ;-)!
Thinking I should get out the vintage scrap books I found on a buying trip and fill them up!
Wishing you a beautiful week too!

  2. Hi Trisha!
I have three scrapbooks that I filled to the brim with whatever inspired me. I love them and they never fail to move me to create something. And rainy days do the same things to me...make me want to gather all my loved ones and my lovely things and curl up together!
And oh how we need the rain!!

  3. Ooh, I want those owl drawings!!!

Thanks, Trish, for your very kind comments on my blog. I think those prayers (which I thoroughly believe in!) are working, as I'm able to hobble around. I'm truly grateful I didn't break anything--if you had seen the swelling, you'd a thought I did!

And, yes, I remember that graceful tumble you took down the stairs. How long did it take THAT bruise to go away?!

It was great to see La Von and Kim at 2nd Saturdayz--I left a message on your new Facebook page!

    Take care,

    Debi
