Viva Las Vegas?

Hey all,
this "Girly" is gonna be taking off for about a week to go to......
World Market
 in
 Las Vegas!
I must admit...
I'm looking forward to getting away for a bit. However, getting away to WORK is not quite the same thing. Market should be interesting as we've never been to this one before...but we will be ordering Fall and Christmas decor which tends to be extremely tedious....ick.
Don't get me wrong, being a buyer for as fun of a shop as
is truly a dream job.
But even dream jobs are WORK sometimes!
Ordering Christmas decor is VERY HARD WORK.
Your brain is spinning by the time you've looked at thousands of ornaments from one company....only to know that you have to go see 5 more companies that have thousands and thousands MORE!!!!!
:oP
Thank goodness we have been doing this for over 10 years now...
and have gotten a sort of rythem down pat.
We are looking forward to seeing what else the show has to offer for everyday decor; which to me is the most fun of all!!!!
Hee hee hee!

In the evenings we will take a little break to go check out the city that never sleeps!
I'm not the sort of person who craves to go to Las Vegas.
Generally if I'm going to the desert, I want to be by the water on a deserted beach with my hubby and a huge bottle of SPF60 and a shade tree!
:o)
Going to the desert to see a bunch of sparkly bulbs and scantily clad women is a whole other thing!
I hope I will be proven wrong about Las Vegas....
I hope it will be
FABULOUS!!!
I AM looking forward to our swank Hotel:
Where we can stare at Dale Chihuly's Venitian Glass and eat fabulous food!
It should be fun to go see the Mile Long shopping mall...
I don't know if we'll go to take in a show since they are so expensive.....and I don't even know if we'll have the time???
Maybe I'm beginning to convince myself that going away is a good idea....
But....
I just have so much to do around here....
Oh Well.
VIVA LAS VEGAS!!!!
Trisha
has
now
left
the
blogging.

  1. I didn't think I would like Vegas either...but I did! Lots of landscaping to look at....the atrium at the Bellagio is worth the trip alone and I love looking at all the decor and signs. It's a paradise for a graphic designer. I don't pay attention to the people at all - to busy looking at all the sparkly signs and amazing displays. I could care less about gambling.

I have friends that go and just lay by the pool and get spa and beauty treatments. I can never afford that....but I still like to go. I bet you will enjoy it.

  3. You are right...buying (especially Christmas) is exhausting! A change of rainy scenery is good ;)

  5. Hi Trisha,
I'm so excited to have found your blog! Grandiflora has been my favorite gift/decor shop for many years now and when I went to their website for the first time today, I found you!
I hope you do have fun in Los Vegas, I've never been there. So when do you buy goodies for the other seasons and holidays? It seems a shame that you have to buy Christmas stuff so soon, except that you will remember what you purchased for this year at least!
Glad I found you, hugs, Cindy
