B I F O C A L S ? ? ?

Those are MY old glasses....oh how I will miss you dear old glasses! :(
O.K.
So, it doesn't happen very often that I just don't know what to write about....
but I'm having one of those random days,
You know what that's like?
I had a field trip this morning for my oldest to go see how milk is produced.
(very informative...and cute to watch the kids too).
Then quick to get the little one from pre-school and hear about
"Stop, Drop, and Roll!"
( I'll be heading on the Fire Department field trip soon too! )
Quick trip through a drive through
( very rare for us....no really...VERY RARE)
My tummy is still churning from the greasey food...ick.

Then,
"IT"
happened:
I RAN to get my eyes dialated...
DOES ANYONE HATE EYE DIALATION THE WAY I DO???
Let me
HEAR YA NOW!!!

SUPER ICK!!!!
Anyway...since my Eye Doc is so nice to me....I'll let it slide this time....
BUT,
He told me I have to get.....
(are you listening?)
I HAVE TO GET

B I F O C A L S!!!!!!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!

:(

Have I mentioned before that I'm a mere 37 years old?
Young....TOO YOUNG
to get bifocals!
:(

Oh well....he swears to me that the no line bifocals will help me not to feel so "old looking".
We'll see.
................
We'll see.
yeah....
We'll see.

;)

  1. Oh no! I hate dilating my eyes as well...
Bifocals? I hate wearing my regular glasses -So I'm not sure how that would be, but I think they make 'no line' now though ;)

Sounds like some fun field trips!

  3. Oh Ricki....Ricki, Ricki, Ricki....as my eye doctor said: " Anyone over 40 who says they don't need glasses is fooling themselves...they do...they just don't want to admit it yet. It's ok, we always GET THEM IN THE END!!!!!!" :P

Andrea, yeah...I love me a good field trip! And I'll have to let you know how the whole "no line" thing turns out....

  4. I am in the same situation with you. I am 39 years old and I have grave's disease. Because of this I have to go my eye doctor bimonthly. Last time he said that I will use a bifocals very soon and we decided to wait a while. It's very difficult for me. I don't want to use it:(

  5. LOL I just went to the eye doctor on Monday because glaucoma runs in my family. If it makes you feel any better, Dr. Blackburn says I am a freak of nature.

    :D

  6. Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry to hear that. I will be your guinea pig...I'll test them out for ya and get back to tell you how they are ok? My Eye Doc said he didn't want to hear from me the first week I owned them ( I think he's afraid of how crabby I might be! ). The second week he said I'd start to see the light as to why I should have them. The third week he said I'd be thanking him! SO, we'll see....

    Happy Easter Weekend!

  7. Ricki, It does make me feel better to know you are a freak of nature! And sincerely I hope you don't end up with Glaucoma! I keep laughing at my sister because the papers seem to keep getting farther and farther away from her face....one of these days she'll run outta arm and that will be the end of it! Hopefully you will be able to hold out for a long time yet! I'm sincerely jealous!!! ;)
