Cup of SONshine for this Easter Week

My four year old son Elliot picked me a daffodil the other day with too short a stem.
(this happens regularly)
;)
So he suggested since it didn't fit in a regular bud vase, that we use his teacup for the water instead!
Wow, is it possible that he has an eye for such things?
I thought it was so pretty...I had to share it with all of you!
It's a little
Cup of SONshine!
I hope you are all having a great week so far.

I am heading off to Children's Hospital Dental Clinic in Seattle tomorrow with my other son
Tristan ( age 7).
He has a loose tooth.
So, big deal you might say.
Why does he have to go to a Children's Hospital Dentist for that???
Well actually it is a big deal since it's one of the only two permanent teeth that he's just gotten.
You see, he has Linear Schleroderma....and it's wreaking havoc with some of his facial features.
We are hoping his tooth can be saved.
This has been a rather long haul over the past two years for our poor little guy.
He has been taking so many drugs ( one of which is a low dose chemotherapy drug) over the past two years.
He has been in and out of clinics and labs....with multiple hospital visits.
I just pray that he'll be able to keep his teeth in tact....and that the
Schleroderma will subside.
It is a disease that never goes away...and there is no cure....
We just hope it will not flare up more, and that the drugs are doing their job.

There are always challenges in this life, and I'm so happy that my perspective is of a good one.
As I write this....I'm thinking that
It's Easter week!
YAY!
The good news?
My Jesus is bigger than all of this....
for that I'm eternally grateful.
How about you?

  6. What a lovely treasure for your Elliot to find and bring and think of doing =o) My littlest daughter always brought me the first yellow flowers of spring that she saw: buttercups! And always with a huge smile, "Dust for you, Muthew." Precious memories they make for us, huh? Thanks for sharing that lovely picture!

I have been praying for Tristan, so I want to share a quote from a blogger I follow. Just days before her son was miraculously healed, while she was filled with pure anxiety, she wrote, “. . . . .makes me realize how very much is still up in the air. . . . .Yet up in the air is a good place for things to be, really. After all, I cannot hold things that are up in the air. Only God can.” I thought of that when I saw what you are facing and I pray it encourages you clear down to the bone, my dear!! Here’s to good news at the hospital. Love and prayers.
