The Vintage Ornaments Are Coming Out of Storage Today!

Hello + Hello!
I'm pretty excited!
We went and picked out a
Christmas Tree this past weekend,
and now I'm about to take my collection of vintage
Christmas Ornaments
out of storage to start decorating!!
YIPPEE!!!!
This is one of my favorite times of the year.
I decorate my
"fancy"
tree alone.
I LOVE THIS!
Then, we decorate the boys' trees together with hot cocoa, snowflake cutting &
general crazyness.
But the vintage ornament tree
IS ALL MINE.
One whole day spent in bliss....ALONE.....in peace with
Christmas music blaring, me singing like a rawk star & loads of glitter/mica clouds
swirling all around me.
I'm totally looking forward to it!
How do you do your tree/trees?
Alone? Together?
Hmm....
I'd love to hear about your traditions.
Well,
daylight she be a'burnin'...
gotta start unwrapping these lovelies and placing them
ever so carefully on the tree.
Cheers!
T.
xx

PS Trisha, do you think you can take that word verification thingie off? Those are such a pain...

    1. Hey Marjan, I believe I was able to remove the word verification system for you and still have the approval I need for those lovely spammers. Maybe you could give it another go for me to check sometime? Sorry for the inconvenience...just don't like those spammers much ;)

  3. We decorate our tree as a family. I had a lil babe this year, a boy, so I get to buy him his own tree as his sister has one already. All the ornaments for those trees are made of felt, and I have the greatest time looking for a special ornament each year. I am also excited because on Thursday I am planning on going to visit your store!!! Coming from Burlington!!!

  4. I do mine all alone and enjoy making it look exactly like I want it to look. But back when my Dad was alive and my Mom still put up a tree...they always waited for me to come home to decorate the tree because they said no one decorated a tree like me. I miss those days of all of us in a room watching me decorate. When I was a kid...and my sister helped decorate...I went along behind her and moved her ornaments. I didn't think she noticed but she later told me as an adult that she knew I moved all her ornaments to where I thought they looked better.

    1. Thanks for the reminder once again to appreciate the family I have now while they're here and living and breathing. We take that so easily for granted don't we? On another note...try having 2 sisters who are decorators just like you and fighting (albeit playfully) over how to decorate a tree!! :D

  5. That will be one, gorgeous tree! I love that you do "yours" alone and then have fun with the boys on their tree.
I think I used to do that with my kids...not enough though. My kids scatter when the decor comes out because they say I'm too picky and move everything around anyway...sad to say it's true! So in answer to your question...I decorate alone. (pause for sympathy here) Hubby and son do the outdoor lights, and my husband is great at fluffing and lighting garland, and fixing lights. But as for the decor, it's all me. Guess I can't blame anyone else if it looks bad! All the trees are up...finished the last one yesterday. 5 with substantial decorations and another 6 or 7 with lights and a little decor. Insanity for sure!
