Market Report : Gathering up Greige

 Hello + Hello!
How has your Autumn been thus far?
Hopefully wonderful!
I just stopped in to share some outtakes
from my last

Have you gotten a copy yet?
Oh, it's so lovely!
Don't wait....get it soon!
I loved the beautiful photography
&
sweet styling by each of the lovely contributors.

In my report I speak mainly about the color trend of
"greige"
(grey mixed with beige)
as a perfect back drop for the
newer resurgence of
NEON.
If you've noticed pops of intense color saturating the monochromatic
greige scheme
you're not alone...
 I'm seeing it too!
Honestly,
I kinda like it!
It's a cool mix of neutral, industrial & pops of neon.
I like that it's exciting....I will always have a soft spot for bold color.
 It's a sort of
Rustic Romance...soft textures set against raw materials...
 ....natural materials....
 ...aged...
 ....and imperfect.
And you can find out more about it in my report.

Hope you can enjoy this season of harvest doing all that you love best.
One of the things I like best is looking out for new trends...
&
speaking of which...
I've just written my next report, and you can look for it soon over at
Until then my friends....
cheers!

Choose Happiness...Birds Do!

Hello + Hello!
How are you all doing today?
I hope very well!
Can you tell it's been starting to slowly change around your neck of the woods?
It seems that Summer is waning and Fall is fast approaching here.
Before I know it, school will be in full swing and the leaves will be hitting the ground.
SO....
I'm trying to embrace the time between the two seasons with
lush rich late summer color.
I recently produced a few more colors of my
"Today I'm going to be happier than a bird with a French fry"
prints.
Don't you love these bold colors?
I do.
Each of these prints can be found in my Etsy shop
&

I even brought some into my brick and mortar shop
I hope you are enjoying this last bit of Summer
wherever you are....
&
that you can find invigorating charm in the stunning colors of
late Summer.
I also hope you can be as happy as a bird with a french fry...
Everyday!
Cheers!

Mustard: A Fresh New Look In My Dining Room!

 Hello + Hello!
As promised, I said I'd drop in and show you what I did with the lovely
(albeit tattered) end piece of
wallpaper roll I recently found and listed in my Etsy shop
Wesley Asher

 Gosh it's so lovely right?
Amazing mustard color!
Frankly,
it inspired me to do a little revamping in my dining room....which,
consequently is tied to my living room....but that is another blogpost!
I decided to use the end piece of paper for myself, and re-papered the fun
star that I found earlier this year while thrifting.
You might remember this past spring when I had a bunch of pinks in my dining room?

I decided to forgo the pink for fall...we'll see how long I can live without it?!
Instead....
I've inserted quite a bit more mustard
&
of course,
I added orange
in
Pumpkins!

I mean, c'mon....what is Fall without Pumpkins???
My sister (Carrie) was nice enough to give me a ton of sweet little pumpkins and gourds
(which I'll show you more of in a later post)
so I had lots of fun throwing them out all over the place!

I guess if I want to actually serve something from my buffet....
I'll have to do a bit of rearranging!
For now however, it's little home made meals for just my hubby, our two boys & I.
So, I can still use the dining table in it's small size.
Sometimes I even use the table as a work bench...but I am trying my best to clear it off every night for dinner time together!
Above you see my day to night transition.
Soon it will be getting dark earlier, and we'll be eating soups and stews to stay warm at night.
I'll be happy to have the pinks gone & the cozy mustard yellows in place.
 Well,
like I said...
....I'll have to come back and revisit the living room soon.
Don't you just love tweaking things in your home for a new season?
As much as I love fall....I have to say that the season I always look forward to the most
is
Christmas!!!
But....
no rushing ahead right?!
Cheers my friends,
T.
xx
P.S.
If you feel the need to have a little bit of this gorgeous mustard yellow
wallpaper to inspire your fall decor, just pop on over here!

Autumn Gifts, and an Outing Too!

I woke up this morning to torrential rain on my cottages' metal roof.
I snuggled under the covers a little deeper & soon was joined by two little snugglers.
(Poor hubby was already off before dawn.)
The boys and I laid in bed for quite some time before it got light enough and late enough to where we couldn't stay there any longer.
This has truly been an
Autumn day.
Gusts of wind, sideways rain, and big puddles.
I was even inspired to make a homemade pot pie for dinner tonight!
(ok...so I bought the pie crust premade.)
:)
Anyway,
I thought I'd share a simple photo today of part of the lovely gift my sister La Von gave me.
Aren't those orange mums just fun?
She knows me all too well!
Thanks La Von!
:)
I have been collecting these hilarious tacky plastic flowers...
&
I also have a pink one (not pictured) just like the blue one above.
Don't ask me why I like them so much...
they just make me smile is all.
I'm really a kid at heart, and never expect to grow truly old....so maybe that is why I like animated things so much.
Believe it or not, most of my home is pretty basic....but I MUST have a few items in my home that make most people go:
"Hmmmmm......"
Can't explain why I do what I do...but I really like having unique items with a past.
These mums are dated 1968, Made in the USA!
They just really make me giddy!
:)

Well,
maybe in a few days if the rain decides to let up...
I was hoping to go on an outing....
I was thinking here?
I could spend hours in a corn maze!!!
Tee hee hee!!!
(Found on Pinterest...if you know the source message me as I'd like to give credit...but couldn't find it.)

I think it'd be right up my ally!
;)
Until we meet again....
Trish
